Separate the service from the software installed on your phone
An APK is an Android installation package. A web app is a site accessed through a browser. Choosing a package does not, by itself, change your account’s subscription or grant features that the service has not included. First establish whether browser access meets your actual needs.

Where an APK earns its extra complexity
An installed app is worth considering when a specific, documented device capability matters to you. Do not assume notifications, background behavior, or speed will be better until the official version is tested. Compare on the same network and account; a changed model or plan can otherwise look like an application-performance improvement.
Where the browser is the better default
For an occasional visit or a first evaluation, avoiding an unnecessary package is a practical advantage. Bookmark the verified official address, inspect notification permission separately, and keep the browser current. Web access is not automatically confidential: the provider still processes information sent to its service.
A reversible trial
Try the browser first with fictional, non-sensitive conversation. Check text input, navigation, sign-in, and any feature you genuinely need. Only consider the APK if you can name a missing capability and verify its source. Keep ordinary device protections enabled. Removing an installed app or clearing browser storage does not necessarily delete the provider account or cloud history; use the official account controls for that.
